The Lunak was built in the early 50's, in
the Czech Rep.
It was used as a trainer for future jet pilots or in local clubs for sailing and
aerobatics. It had very impressive flying characteristics with a win at the World
Championship. Only 5 units are still inventoried around the world from over 200 built.
This
kit is a 1:5 scale reduction and is pretty well detailed. This plane has a fixed wheel, a
detailed preformed canopy tray for nice scale. The large wing area, gives him smooth
handling and great performance. The nature of this plane leads it to unrestrained
aerobatics on the slope, but it will do well on a high start or a winch and of course can
be easily aero towed.
Kit
content is a yellow colored epoxy fuselage, finished obechi sheeted wings covered with
yellow Oracover®, aileron are finished and ready to hinge, airbrakes are installed and
working. Tail surfaces are finished build-up structure and covered with yellow
Oracover®,
all required accessories are supplied as well as building instructions and decals.
Radio requirements are two micro servos for the ailerons,
one std servo for the airbrakes, two regular servos for the elevator and rudder. An
additional servo might be installed for aerotow.
