The
DG-800 from Glasser Dirks was first introduced in 1991 and is still in
production. It is available with either an 18-meter wing or a 15-meter wing with tip
extensions available to make an 18-meter wing.
It can be configured as a true sailplane or as a self-launching sailplane
with a foldaway power unit.
ICARE is pleased to present a 1:4.3 super-scaleTM
model that can be flown with either 3.5 meter with or an 4.2 meter wing much
like the full-scale counterpart.
This is probably our best thermal scale ship we
carry. It's light weight construction leads to a pretty low wingloading and
makes it just hang in the sky. Wing construction are balsa sheeted foam covered
with Oracover. Airbrakes, flaps and ailerons are ready to use. Fuselage is
molded and comes with canopy fitted, with full size opening mechanism and vent
window. Retract is installed and cockpit interior made.
Radio requirements are two micro servos for the ailerons,
two for the airbrakes, two for the flaps, one micro for the elevator, two regular servos for the
elevator and
rudder. An additional servo might be installed for aerotow.
