The Salto H101 was designed as a pure aerobatic glider by Ursula Hanle, widow of former Glasflügel director and designer Eugen Hanle. Construction of this single seater 13 meter glider was based the H-30, and the  standard Libelle. The Salto was built so several parts of the Libelle could be exchanged. It used shortened Standard-Libelle wings and had trailing edge airbrakes. Fuselage was a sturdy all glass construction with a fixed wheel. V-tail and a side opening canopy. First prototype flew in 1971 and became since a rarity.

This Salto H101 is a really nice semi-scale reproduction and comes as an all molded kit and is highly finished. This model is best suited for slope flying and pure aerobatics, but will do well on a good thermal day. Building and flying require some skill, thus the designation for intermediate pilot.

The kit comes completely finished. The wings are hollow molded and the ailerons are live hinged. Construction is glass/rohacell sandwich wing skin with plenty of carbon reinforcement, fuselage is all glass with carbon reinforcement. An optional version is available as with full carbon wing and a full Kevlar/carbon fuselage, for extreme flight. The V-tail is bolt on and so removable for ease of transportation. The clear plastic canopy is fitted to the fiberglass tray and hinged sidewise like the full size, molded seat and interior are finishing the cockpit. Fixed wheel is installed. Scale airbrakes are ready to hook up. All what's required is your radio gear. You will need 4 high torque mini servos for the wings, 2 standard servos for the V-tail and a regular receiver.
