The Saturn Evolution was designed by
Nicolas PIETU, who won, in 2006, its first contest of F3P in
international series. Like it's name states, it is a follow up design of
his former Saturn. This Saturn Evolution is drawn around the last
generation of ultra light equipment and gear drive.
It matches the US biplane designs used at the 2008 ETOC, but with the
qualities of the first Saturn, particularly neutral and precise around
all axes.
The results are a biplane that is smaller then current designs, and so
it combines the advantages of the biplane (very slow flight) and
qualities of monoplane (very low inertia).
Without its air braking devices, the Saturn Evolution becomes a
frightening 3D machine.
Due to the entirely preprinted components as well as CRP-reinforcements
it only takes about 2-3 hours to build these very robust but extremely
lightweight models.
Over 15 minutes flying fun with Lithium-polymer batteries!
Kit contents: Pre-printed and pre-cut components for fuselage, wings,
tail plane, undercarriage. Wing spars, struts and
pushrods, hardware and wheels.
CRP wing spars and struts
Suitable for movies: can be flown extremely slowly and is very robust
Incredible flying maneuvers, no matter whether flown indoors or
outdoors.
No space is too small, no doorframe too tight, no maneuver too crazy
