Difficult to categorize the Y-UFO, this aircraft is
between a hovercraft and a helicopter. It is controlled like a helicopter,
but easier to master. A gyro is used for stabilization and
an other control and stabilization unit will manage the 3 motors to keep the
aircraft level. The mixer will give pitch and yaw control and it also
alows the Y-UFO to
turn around its vertical axis.
One of the motor is used as the tail of the aircraft and is controlled
in rotation by a servo, giving a rudder effect.
At a first glance all this seems complex, but once assembled and
adjusted, definitely easier to handle then a helicopter.
The model comes complete with specially developed onboard electronics,
which control the mixing of the signals to the three motors and servo.
A 4-channel
radio system is required. The Y-UFO is designed to introduce you to helicopters and provide
you with hours of relaxed flying outdoor or indoor. This aircraft is
great for aerial photography or video.
