This model was specifically designed for slope with light to medium strong
winds. It is very maneuverable and fully aerobatic: it can turn four-point rolls on a pin.
The thin Goe 795 airfoil gives it a very wide speed range. It can be flown very
fast without adding ballast. It's good energy retention allows it to
be flown like much a much larger sailplane. It will be competitive in 60" pylon races as well.
This model requires only two
servos and can use a
standard size receiver. Your best bet is one or two micro servos for the ailerons and a
regular servo for the elevator. The ailerons, which can be used as flaperons, are actuated
through cable pushrods. If a rudder is wanted, four super-micro servos will
be needed. A regular battery pack fits in the nose.
The fiberglass reinforced epoxy fuselage has a high gloss white
gelcoat finish and a clear plastic canopy. On the ARF models, the wings are fiberglass
reinforced obechi over foam. The leading edge, wing tips and root ribs are
installed and finish sanded. The ailerons are routed out and the wing joiner and aileron cables are
installed. The built-up
wing comes with all ribs and parts pre-cut for easy and quick construction. The V-tail
is made from 3/16" balsa stock. The kit comes complete with all hardware, building
plans, instructions and a parts list. This is a fun flying machine that is
sure to please the slope enthusiast.
