The
Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe (German: "Swallow") was the world's
first operational turbojet fighter aircraft. It was produced in World War II and
saw action starting in 1944 as a multirole
fighter/bomber/reconnaissance/interceptor warplane for the Luftwaffe. (read
more about it on Wikipedia)
This reproduction will give you the right feel of this
first jet fighter. The kit comes with fixed landing gear and the whole airframe
goers together easily. The flight characteristics are just great. Probably the
the fastest airframe, though it is not necessarily what you are looking for with
this semi-scale ship, but the handling and feeling in flight is just right.
This is indeed not a beginner airplane, and some
experience with edf installation is always welcome, but putting together this ARF
is pretty easy.
This ME-262 has a nice flight envelop and is a joy to fly
at scale attitude.
